The University of Rhode Island’s College of Engineering is a diverse community of students, faculty and staff dedicated to advancing society through learning, research and innovation. Our college has a proud history of preparing engineers for the global workplace and to meet the many challenges that society does – and will – face.

We take particular pride in our academics and research, and I invite you to explore our undergraduate and graduate degree programs, including our five-year accelerated B.S./M.S. degree programs available in all engineering majors.

The college also has the distinctive International Engineering Program (IEP). Our internationally acclaimed IEP experience prepares students with a global perspective in both an engineering discipline and a foreign language/culture through intensive study. IEP students hold paid internships at world-class engineering companies around the globe and earn two undergraduate degrees: a B.S. in engineering and a B.A. in German, Spanish, French, Italian or Chinese. In addition, the IEP also offers a dual graduate degree program (M.S./M.S. and Ph.D./Ph.D.) where students earn one degree from the United States and one from a partner institution abroad, with research and coursework undertaken at both institutions.

I encourage you to visit us to learn more about who we are and the dynamic engineering experiences we offer. You will discover friendly faculty, staff and students all engaged in meeting society’s challenges and those that lie ahead.

I look forward to personally meeting you and to having the opportunity to warmly welcome you to our University community.
