Degree requirements for each College of Engineering major are below. The information is organized by major and then by graduating class year. The files below contain a curriculum map sheet and a check sheet for each major.
IMPORTANT – Choosing the Correct Curriculum Sheet
Once admitted to the University, the first curriculum sheet that you are eligible to follow is the one for the first academic year (catalog year) in which you matriculate (are enrolled in a degree program) at URI. For example, if you matriculated at URI in fall 2016 or spring 2017, the first curriculum sheet you can follow is for the Class of 2020 (academic year begins 2016, so class year is 2016+4=2020).
- Note: You cannot follow an earlier check sheet (e.g., Class of 2019, 2018, 2017, etc.).
Note: You need to meet with your engineering advisor to discuss the possible impact(s) of changing your curriculum sheet before making a change. In addition, the COE dean’s office must also be notified immediately any time you change the curriculum sheet you are following – very important because it does affect your degree audit in e-Campus.
General Education Requirements
All engineering students must satisfy University General Education requirements. These requirements vary by major and are listed on the curriculum map and check sheet for each major. Consult the General Education Handbook when selecting individual courses.
