Declaration of Intent to Graduate

All engineering B.S. degree candidates, including those in the International Engineering Program (IEP), are required to complete the following at least one semester before their anticipated graduation date. Be sure to carefully review the deadlines below.

Note: It is your responsibility to meet the deadlines shown below and if you do not do so, your graduation may be delayed.

All potential degree candidates must:

  1. Schedule an Exit Interview in the College of Engineering Dean’s Office (102 Bliss Hall) and obtain the link to complete the Declaration of Intent to Graduate/Exit Interview surveyThe survey must be completed prior to your Exit Interview appointment.
  2. Submit a copy of your current resume and complete a Declaration of Intent to Graduate/Exit Interview survey by the time of your Exit Interview
  3. Have an in-person Degree Audit and Exit Interview with the Assistant Dean

Additional requirement for all degree candidates in the IEP

IEP students must meet with their IEP Language Advisor to have the Intent to Graduate form for their language B.A. degree processed. NOTE: If you plan to be abroad for your fifth year, schedule your Exit Interview in the Spring semester of your fourth year. Unless your exit interview and all necessary documentation have been completed, your record cannot be reviewed for potential degree conferral.

When to schedule your Degree Audit/Exit Interview appointment

You must make your appointment at least one semester prior to your anticipated semester of graduation. Appointments are only scheduled during the academic year as noted below.

Note: It is your responsibility to meet the deadlines shown below and if you do not do so, your graduation may be delayed.

  • Potential May/August graduates: make appointment during the previous fall semester
    • appointments begin in the second week of fall semester classes
    • Note: Deadline for all fall appointments is December 1 - no appointments after this date until second week of the following spring semester
  • Potential December graduates: make appointment during the previous spring semester
    • appointments begin in the second week of spring semester classes
    • Note: Deadline for all spring appointments is May 1 - no appointments after this date until second week of the following fall semester
