Our group seeks to address the drug delivery challenges associated with overcoming physiological barriers. These barriers include, but are not limited to, the mucosal lining of tissues, tumor parenchyma, and the air-blood barrier within the lungs. This work involves a wide variety of skills involving pharmaceutical engineering and biomedical sciences such as particle formulation and engineering, physicochemical characterization of particle systems, and the development of in vitro cell models for the evaluation of these systems.
