With over 400 students and professionals in attendance, the 2016 ASEE Northeast Section Conference Career Fair provides the perfect opportunity for engineering students and professionals from the Northeast region to connect with colleges, universities, and companies. Whether your organization is seeking students, interns, recent graduates, or experienced professionals, this is your chance to recruit talent from diverse backgrounds and engineering disciplines.

Students will have the opportunity to meet with and impress some of the best Engineering programs and companies in the Northeast. Hosted in conjunction with the student poster session portion of the conference, students already registered for the conference are automatically given free access to the Career Fair.

Colleges and universities will find the Career Fair to be the perfect venue to recruit high-quality graduate students for engineering programs, and to share fellowship opportunities and research positions. The Career Fair will also provide employers from the engineering industry the opportunity to share information about their company, its culture and its open positions with highly motivated students and experienced engineers.

Career Fair FAQ

I want to have an exhibitor booth at the Career Fair. How do I register?
Register for an exhibitor booth here by April 15, 2016 (Exhibitors Only). Select the “Career Fair/Graduate Recruiting” option towards the bottom of the page, and click the blue “Register” button. Fill out the form completely. You will be sent a confirmation email and additional information for exhibit booth registrants within 5 business days.

What is the cost of having an exhibitor booth at the Career Fair?
$250 per institution

Does paying for a booth allow exhibitors access to other events at the 2016 ASEE Northeast Section Conference?
No, the $250 exhibitor registration fee only covers the rental of the event facility, tables & chairs, access to power and internet services, lunch, parking, and an acknowledgement in the conference program and proceedings. Access to other conference events is not included. However, the Career Fair is taking place in conjunction with the student poster session, so exhibitors may enjoy that portion of the event.

What if I’m already registered for the conference? Does my institution still have to pay to have an exhibitor booth?
Yes, each exhibitor must pay the exhibitor fee regardless of having registered as an attendee of the conference. The $250 exhibitor registration fee is an additional charge that covers the rental of the event facility, tables & chairs, access to power and internet services, lunch, parking, and an acknowledgment in the conference program and proceedings.

How many representatives am I allowed to have at my booth?
Two representatives per institution are allowed at each exhibitor booth.

What if unregistered students want to visit the career fair portion only?
Only students registered for the Conference will have access to the Career Fair.

How many exhibitor booths are available at the Career Fair?
There is room for 20 exhibitor booths at the Career Fair. Booths will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.

How will the Career Fair be set up?
The Career Fair will take place at the University Club facilities during the student poster session portion of the event. The University Club is located at 95 Upper College Rd, Kingston, RI 02881.

What is included in the exhibitor booth?

  • 2 chairs
  • One tablecloth (may be blue or white)
  • WIFI access
  • Electrical outlets/ access to power are limited and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. Please specify your power needs upon confirmation your registration

Can I bring a standing display to the Career Fair?
Space at the Career Fair facilities is limited, so exhibitors are encouraged to bring table displays rather than standing displays.

Can I ship exhibit booth material to the Career Fair in advance?
No, unfortunately we do not have the capacity to receive exhibit booth materials in advance of the Career Fair.

Is lunch included in the $250 exhibitor registration fee?
Yes, one boxed lunch will be provided per booth representative. Dietary needs and restrictions can be specified upon registration. Lunch will be served between 11:30-1pm, and will be accessible from the exhibition area.

What time does the Career Fair start and end?
The Career Fair begins at 9:00AM and ends at 1:00PM.

What time will I be given to set up and break down my exhibitor booth?

  • Set up & registration will begin at 7:30AM and end at 8:30AM.
  • Breakdown of exhibits should take place between 1:00PM and 3:00PM.

How do I find the University Club at URI?
The University Club is located at 95 Upper College Road, Kingston, RI 02881.

Where do I park? Is there an additional charge for parking?
Parking is included in the registration fee and will be easily accessible from the University Club. More details on parking will be forwarded to exhibitors once they have registered.

Will handicap accessible parking be available?
Yes, handicap parking will be available in the reserved lot for exhibitors. More details on parking will be forwarded to exhibitors once they have registered.

Are the University Club facilities handicap accessible?
Yes, University Club facilities are handicap accessible.
